Sherryl Searles – Director
Social work qualified, Funeral Celebrant, JP qualified, Trained End of Life Doula, Reiki Practitioner.

I am a qualified Social Worker who has worked in hospitals for over 30 years – the majority of them in the areas of Oncology and Palliative Care. In 2012, I was awarded a Churchill Fellowship to travel overseas to learn more about how life story work could bring a sense of meaning and comfort to palliative care patients and their families. The Churchill Fellowship encouraged me to share the knowledge with the local palliative care community which I continue to do.
It was a natural progression for me to become a funeral celebrant and to utilise my life story skills to help families celebrate and honour their loved one’s life once they had passed. After many years of being a funeral celebrant and having retired from Social Work, I was drawn to the practice of ‘End of life’ Doula work to continue to support people throughout their life’s journey. I have completed training with the leading organisation ‘Preparing the Way’ and continue my ongoing professional development with them.
